Disneyland Paris (Ile-de-France) theme park will be inviting Father Christmas to the Walt Disney cartoon kingdom to celebrate the festive season from8 November 2009 to 6 January 2010.
Celebrate the magic of Christmas and New Year in Father Christmas’s workshop with his elves and sleigh. He will even have his own special Post Office, where children can mail their Christmas wish-list.
Visitors can watch him busy in his workshop, while children will be able to mail their wish-list from Father Christmas’s special Post Office. They will receive a reply from him a few weeks after their visit. Father Christmas will also be present at the end of the Disney Parade of Dreams.
There are two major novelties this Christmas time:
► Walt Disney’s first cartoon, Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, will be brought to life on the Castle stage, for the delight of both young and old, who will also be able to meet Snow White and her Prince Charming at the end of the show. ► Every evening, visitors will be able to attend the second novelty of this winter season, namely the Ceremony of the Lighting of the Christmas Tree in Town Square, presented and orchestrated by Mickey and Minnie.
Of course there are the usual Disneyland Paris Christmas shows, including the famous illumination of Sleeping Beauty’s Castle, as well as the Disney Fantillusion night-time parade, the “Mickey and the Winter Magic” ice-skating show and the "It's a small world" attraction paying homage to the various end-of-year traditions in different countries.
To celebrate New Year, the park will stay open until 1 am on New Year’s Eve, with a huge firework display lighting-up in the skies above the castle on the stroke of midnight. |
